What a staff member sees on their own phone.

Sign inWork email and password. Signs you in as that person on the roster.

Daily welcomeA message on open, written per weekday by an admin. Falls back to a count of today's events.

AgendaToday's scheduled events with time, length, and location. A date strip moves between days.

Working todayWho else is on shift, with their hours.

AssignmentsTasks pushed down by an admin, showing who each one belongs to. Checkable.

Personal tasksAdd and check off your own to-dos, kept per day and separate from admin assignments.

WeekSeven day columns with your shifts across the week.

MonthCalendar colored by open, closed, and not planned yet.

ProfileName, icon color, email, and your confirmed weekly hours.

Hours requestRequest onlyPropose your availability per day, including a second shift. Goes to a manager, never self-confirms.

Set a person's hoursTap anyone on the roster to edit their week, day by day, with second shifts.

Scheduled itemsAdd, edit, and delete events for a day with time, title, and location.

Daily task logWrite a task, assign it to one person, several, or nobody. Check off or remove.

RosterEveryone with role, permission level, and their working days at a glance.

InviteAdd a member with name, email, role, and permission. Pending people show as invited.

Permission levelsStaff or Manager, set per person and changeable later.

Facility hours, weeklyThe default open and close time for each weekday, applied every week.

Facility hours, calendarOverride any single date, mark it closed, or leave it not planned. Overrides clear back to the default.

Team viewA live preview of the staff app exactly as staff see it, across Agenda, Week, and Month.

Welcome editorCompose the title and message staff get on open, one per weekday. Blank days fall back to the summary.

Decisions already baked into the prototype that shape how a real build behaves.

Hours are a requestStaff propose availability. A manager sets the confirmed schedule. The two are never the same field.

Default and override are separateA weekly pattern holds until a specific date overrides it, so one odd day never rewrites the week.

Not planned is its own stateA day nobody has set yet is not the same as a day that is closed, and it does not read as closed.

Admin can see the staff viewWhoever writes the schedule can check it as staff before anyone works from it.
